  2. I think this is a good proverb. You need to start somewhere with your learning and everything you do. If you don’t start anything you will never get anywhere. To be a winner you don’t have to ‘win’ - you just have to achieve to the best of your ability. Alex K

  5. Mum and I thought that the proverb means you have to train before lets say a marathon and have to put the time and effort into it and can't just not train then turn up at the marathon and be sore loser if you don't win.

  7. I think this means to get anywhere in life, you have to stick with it to the finish. I think it is a good proverb because it encourages people to get somewhere in life. In gymnastics, when I first started, I tried to do a handstand into a bridge but I kept hitting my head on the ground, but after a month I finally got there and I reached my goal. You could show it all the time like in sports and school work.
